- Note: This application can be installed on Android 2.x and above, while it will support only those phone, which support Devanagari Script. To test whether your phone supports Devanagari Script, see the below written ‘Hindi’ from your mobile browser:

Setting modification to Type Hindi in Android with Google Hindi input.
Installation on Android 4.x and above version:
1.) Open settings, and navigate to Language and input.
2.) Under “Keyboard and input methods” section, Click the check box corresponding to Google Hindi input or put the switch to ON.
Installation on Android 2.x:
1.) Open settings, and navigate to Language and keyboard.
2.) Under keyboard settings section, click the check box to enable Google Hindi input or put ON the switch.
That’s all, you are almost done. Now open your favorite messenger or new message box or browser. When you see a text keyboard box, scroll down the notification bar to select the Input method. Select Hindi – Google Hindi input. You can switch between Hindi or English with the help of key marked in the image below.
